Terms of Service
1. What Vice Versa is
Vice Versa is a financial technology commitment platform, not a bank and not a lender. We extend no credit and issue no loans. Banking services are provided by FDIC-insured banking partners, and funds are held in escrow.
2. Your vault target
Your monthly target balance equals your base rent plus your landlord portal fee, plus a 1.5% platform fee and a $10 safety cushion. After every deposit we recalculate the installment pace needed to reach that target before your due date.
3. Deposits
Deposits are ACH debits you authorize from your linked bank account. We verify available balance before each pull; if funds are insufficient the deposit is not attempted. Returned or failed debits may be retried and could incur fees from your own bank.
4. Commitment lock and early liquidation
Vault funds are locked until rent dispatch. If you liquidate early, a 5% liquidation fee applies with a $15.00 minimum, and your pacing progress resets. Net proceeds return to your linked account, typically in 1–3 business days.
5. Rent dispatch
On the due date your vault is released to your landlord through your dedicated virtual eCheck routing and account number. You are responsible for the accuracy of the rent amount, due date and landlord details you enter.
6. Account closure
On closure we pay out your active balance, confirm no pending ACH debits remain, revoke your virtual eCheck number, and soft-delete your profile.
7. Changes
We may update these terms; continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
